Job Opportunity: Apple Picker
Position Type: Seasonal beginning end of August until mid October
Department: Farm
Reports to: Farmer
Gagetown Distilling & Cidery, located in the Village of Gagetown, is looking to add to our small crew on the farm side. We are hard workers and are looking for like minded individuals that are self-motivated, team player and eager to get the job done properly.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:
- Be on time and ready to work
- Pick Apples
- Work outside
- Be able to lift heavy weights up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable on ladders, carrying weight
- Adaptable to weather affecting the schedule
- Be able to communicate
Applicant Qualifications:
- Willing to do hard physical
- Comfortable being on a ladder
- Listening AND RETAINING skills are a must
- Ability to work as an individual or with others
- Willing to work possibly wonky hours (ex: long, possibly weekends)
- Safety shoes and
Candidate should be physically fit (ability to lift and move at least 50lbs), be able to work flexible hours and do physical labour for extended periods.
